JACOBABAD: On the Call of the Jacobabad Chamber of Commerce, political, social and business organizations in Jacobabad staged a protest against the growing pollution and drainage in the city. Hundreds of citizens gathered and president Chamber of Commerce, Ahmed Ali Brohi, JUI District Ameer Dr AG Ansari PPP Shaheed Bhutto President Nadeem Qureshi, Lal Chand Sitlani, President of the Hindu General Panchayat, Haji Ghulam Nabi Rind of Mazdoor Shahri Ittehad led a protest rally from Sarafa Bazaar Chowk which passed through different parts of the city and staged a sit-in at DC Chowk. Addressing the protesters on the occasion, the leaders said that the city has become a pile of garbage. The main city and the markets are flooded with sewage, which has affected not only the business but also the general public. They added that gas load shedding, lack of sanitation; the city has become a problem land. They demanded that the city should be cleared of filth immediately or else the citizens would launch an indefinite protest movement against the district government and the municipal committee.
