Indian hostility to peace and regional stability

By: Mujeeb-u-Rehman Bhatti

In South Asia, on the one hand, Pakistan is working for lasting stability in the region by playing a historic role in Afghan peace. The United States is also working with the government of Pakistan, the Afghan government and the TTP to make inter-Afghan peace talks a success after the Taliban agreement. In a meeting with key Taliban leaders, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s full support for peace in the region, while on the other hand, India is crossing all boundaries in its hostility to peace. One of the worst demonstrations of this was seen yesterday in the form of an attack on the vehicle of a UN observer by the Indian Army on the Line of Control. According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department, the Indian Army opened unprovoked fire on a UN vehicle in Chari Kot sector in which two military observers were on their way to the police village to meet the victims of the ceasefire violation. Indian Army bullets hit the vehicle but fortunately the observer survived. It should be noted that UN vehicles are known from afar, so there is no reason to believe that this operation will be the result of a misunderstanding. The DG ISPR justified the incident to the United Nations

Declared a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and Principles. The Indian Army continues to aggress the civilian population on the Line of Control and the international community has failed to play an effective role in stopping it. As a result, it has now openly challenged the nominal efforts to resolve the Kashmir dispute by directly targeting UN observers. The Modi government’s escalation of hostility towards peace to such an extent is an open warning to the entire international community that if the situation is not taken seriously, peace in the region and the world as a whole could be disrupted at any time. Warning the world of disgusting Indian intentions, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi revealed in a press conference held in Abu Dhabi yesterday that India was preparing for a surgical strike in Pakistan. He clarified that Pakistan is fully aware of India’s conspiracies and if India takes any action, it will be given a full response. The Foreign Minister also expressed concern over the situation in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and discrimination against minorities in India. Moeed Yousaf, National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister, also claimed that India had reliable information on the surgical strike, calling peacekeeping a “collective responsibility of the whole world” and urging the international community. To stop India from trying to destabilize the region. Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry, while confirming India’s readiness for a surgical strike against Pakistan on the basis of credible evidence, also said that the Modi government was trying to get the support of some external powers for this purpose. All these representatives of the Pakistan Army and the government have also made clear the fact that if aggression is committed against Pakistan, it will be met with an immediate and decisive response. However, the international community must be aware of the fact that South Asia Conflict between the two nuclear powers could be the ultimate threat to world peace, so the Modi government should be reined in without delay. If this is not done, efforts to establish lasting peace in Afghanistan and to build a unified system for the future will certainly be affected.
