In South Asia, on the one hand, Pakistan is working for lasting stability in the region by playing a historic role in Afghan peace. The United States is also working with the government of Pakistan, the Afghan government and the TTP to make inter-Afghan peace talks a success after the Taliban agreement. In a meeting with key Taliban leaders, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s full support for peace in the region, while on the other hand, India is crossing all boundaries in its hostility to peace. One of the worst demonstrations of this was seen yesterday in the form of an attack on the vehicle of a UN observer by the Indian Army on the Line of Control. According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department, the Indian Army opened unprovoked fire on a UN vehicle in Chari Kot sector in which two military observers were on their way to the police village to meet the victims of the ceasefire violation. Indian Army bullets hit the vehicle but fortunately the observer survived. It should be noted that UN vehicles are known from afar, so there is no reason to believe that this operation will be the result of a misunderstanding. The Foreign Minister also expressed concern over the situation in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and discrimination against minorities in India. Moeed Yousaf, National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister, also claimed that India had reliable information on the surgical strike, calling peacekeeping a “collective responsibility of the whole world” and urging the international community. To stop India from trying to destabilize the region.
