January 4 meeting to decide on opening of educational institutions

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said that the decision to open educational institutions will be taken at a meeting on January 4.

Talking to media in Islamabad, Shafqat Mahmood said that the situation would be reviewed at a meeting of inter-provincial ministers on January 4 and a decision on opening of educational institutions would be taken.
On the PTM movement, he said that the internal differences of the PDM were not ending and the internal problems of the GUI had started.

On the other hand, while talking on Geo News program ‘Geo Pakistan’, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the corona virus is not declining and I do not think schools will be able to open from January 11.

He said the NCOC had suggested that loans be given to schools so that they could continue, adding that the federal government should talk to private schools.

It may be recalled that after the onset of the second wave of Corona in the country, the government had closed educational institutions across the country from November 26 and after reviewing the situation, it has been announced to reopen from January 11.
