Punjab government decides to set up special courts for overseas Pakistanis

LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to set up special courts for overseas Pakistanis.

A meeting was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar in which permission was given to Overseas Pakistanis to record their statements through video link while Vice Chairman Overseas Commission Punjab Wasim Akhtar gave a briefing in the meeting.

The Governor Punjab said that time limit would be fixed for the decisions of cases of overseas Pakistanis. Chief Justice Lahore High Court has an important role to play in providing justice to overseas Pakistanis.

He said that the role of Overseas Pakistanis in the economic strength of Pakistan is commendable and oppression and injustice will not be tolerated with Overseas Pakistanis.
