Two trailer drivers kidnapped near Karampur; protest held

By: Adeel Alvi
SHIKARPUR: Two Troller drivers were allegedly kidnapped when they were heading towards Karachi by unknown armed bandits at Indus highway next to Karampur, in the limits of Napar-Kot Police Station, late other night.
According to reports, two troller drivers named Naqeebullah and Anayatullah Pathan, residents of Waziristan were heading towards Karachi when a few armed dacoits blocked Kandhkot-Shikarpur Indus Highway and opened indiscriminate firing on passing trollers and busted the tires of trollers, and kidnapped both drivers.
Following the information, Shabir and Javeed Ahmed, troller drivers, blocked the Indus highway and recorded their protest and demanded the early recovery of kidnapped drivers.
It is worthwhile to mention here that owing to worsening law and orders situation in Shikarpur, Inspector General Police Sindh has transferred the SSP Shikarpur Kamran Nawaz Panjotha and directed him to report at CCPO Karachi and posted Captain Retired Ameer Saud Mangsi as new SSP Shikarpur, but kidnappers have challenged him and kidnapped two troller drivers.
Now, it is a big challenge for newly posted SSP Shikarpur Ameer Saud Mangsi to overcome the worsening situation of law and order in Shikarpur and ensure the honor, life, and property of the people of Shikarpur.
