SHIKARPUR: A youth identified as Raheel Ahmed Soomro was shot dead while his mother named Ms. Afroze Soomro sustained grave bullet wounds when a few unknown armed assailants stormed the house of Raheel Soomro and opened indiscriminate firing over an old ongoing matrimonial issue at Allah Abad Colony in the limits of Stuart Ganj Police Station, here on Saturday.
Prima facie the issue was occurred over a matrimonial issue and to be Kattoo Community persons, police sources.
Area police rushed on the spot and moved the body and injured woman to RBUT Civil Hospital Shikarpur for postmortem and injured for medical treatment from where the body was handed over to the heirs of deceased and a woman was admitted to Hospital.
Neither an FIR was lodged nor police have arrested till the filing of this news story.
