Snowfall in many US states has severely affected livelihoods.
According to foreign media, at least 23 people have been killed and more than 5 million people have lost power due to snowfall in the United States. Most of the deaths occurred in Tennessee, Texas, North Carolina, Kentucky and Louisiana, according to media reports.
One and a half million people in various US states are facing snowfall, and according to the National Weather Service, 73 percent of the United States is covered in snow at a time when the country’s snow has frozen pipelines and affected natural gas supplies.
