82nd Death Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Kanwar Ram marks.

SHIKARPUR: Like every year the 82nd death anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Kanwar Ram was marked at Ruk Railway Station by his followers and other multiple organizations to pay him great homages, here on Sunday.
Bhagat Kanwar Ram was a spiritual leader, singer and Sufi poet. Bhagat Kanwar Ram was assassinated over sectarian targeted attack at Ruk Railway Station in Shikarpur on 1st November 1939.
Bhagat Kanwar Ram was born on 13th April in 1885 at village Jarwar, of Ghotki district.
Agha Muneer Pathan, Red Crescent Society Shikarpur paid him great tribute and said that when Bhagat Kanwar Ram used to start sing the songs people would forget about everything during singing and dancing he had always unconsciously reached in another realm and people also used to give their expensive articles and a lot of money, but Bhagat Kanwar Ram never kept even a single coin for himself or for his family, but Kanwar always distributed such collected articles and money amongst the destitute people without any discrimination.
Ram used to sing poetry of famous saints and poets including Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai [RA], Sachal, Sami and others,
ABSAR ALVI , human rights activist , said that God had gifted him a charismatic, sweet and melodious and ranged over a very wide scale. His recordings of devotional songs were famous all over Sindh.Agha , Guddo Lal, Zahid Noon, Hisam Memon, Hameer Chandio, Amir Abbas Soomro, Waheed pirani, Nadir Baloch, Aqeel Jokhio and a large number of people belonging to different walk of life participated
Every year on 1st November the people of Sindh gathered at Ruk Railway Station to commemorate anniversary of the martyrdom of Saint Bhagat Kanwar Ram and pay tribute to him for his service to human being.
It is also worthwhile to mention here that the there are many welfare organizations, on the name of Ram, NGOs and individual people who afford all expenses and arranges the programs to pay him great tribute.
