It is with a heavy heart and a profound sense of anguish write to bring attention to a grave issue that has haunted the entire nation since August 18, 2021. A young and innocent soul, 7-year-old Priya Kumari, went missing from the Sangrar area while she was selflessly running a ‘Sabeel’ on Ashura in Sukkur. Priya’s disappearance has left her family shattered and the entire community deeply concerned.
As days turn into weeks and weeks into months, Priya’s parents endure an agonizing wait, hoping against hope for their beloved daughter’s safe return. Their hearts ache with every passing moment, and the void left by Priya’s absence looms large in their lives.
It is disheartening to note that despite the passage of time, the urgency and seriousness required in this case seem to be lacking. The lackadaisical approach of the authorities is bewildering, as every day that passes without a resolution only adds to the pain of Priya’s family.
We must remember that Priya Kumari is not just a statistic; she is a cherished daughter, a beloved sister, and a precious member of our community. Her disappearance should not be forgotten or ignored. It is our collective responsibility as a society to ensure that every possible effort is made to locate Priya and reunite her with her family.
I implore the law enforcement agencies to prioritize this case and dedicate the necessary resources to expedite the investigation. The anguish and agony of Priya’s parents must be alleviated, and justice must prevail. The safety and well-being of our children are paramount, and no effort should be spared in ensuring their protection.
I call upon the community to come together, support Priya’s family, and keep the pressure on the authorities to bring her home. Let us not allow Priya’s story to fade into the darkness of indifference. Instead, let it serve as a stark reminder of our duty to protect and cherish the innocence of our children.
