Development of Coastal Areas Is Priority of Sindh Government, says PPP MNA Shams-un-Nisa Memon

THATTA: PPP MNA Shams Un -Nisa Memon has said that the development of coastal areas is among the prime objectives of the Sindh government and CM Sindh and his cabinet is launching different schemes to facilitate the population of this region. She expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of all stakeholders of district Thatta at Darbar Hall here on Saturday. She said that special funds would be released for the coastal areas of the district to work for the social development of otherwise underprivileged areas of the district.
Shams Un-Nisa Memon who is also the Chairperson of Petroleum Social and Petroleum Marine Development said that the coastal region was facing a host of problems for years and the Sindh government had decided to provide the people of this region with education and health facilities. Appreciating the efforts of MPA Ali Hassan Zardari She said that with his efforts Keti Bunder got clean drinking water and this facility would be extended to other areas of the coastal region.
Sharing his opinion during the meeting Noor Ahmed Kalhoro Research Officer at National Institute of Oceanography said that new operators and machines should be procured to further expedite the process of research so that new methods of fishing could be introduced to the fishermen.
MPA Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi said that funds for different projects were released by the Sindh government after critically analyzing every aspect of that project and viewing the fact that how much it would be beneficial for the people. The Meeting was attended by PPP District President Sadiq Memon, Secretary Imtiaz Ahmed Qureshi, Director CDS Sindh University Mukhtiar Maher, Officials of Public Health Engineering, MPA,s of district Thatta and others.
