Federal Govt Approves Restructuring of 11kv Sujawal-Jati Power Supply Line

By: Kamaran Khamiso Khowaja

SUJAWAL:After the patience of the people of Jati had reached the end of their tether following prolonged power disruptions in the area the Federal government has approved revamping and restructuring 11kv high tension power supply line that is responsible for the supply of electricity from Sujawal to Jati taluka and it,s low lying areas.
Over the years the people of Jati have been braving frequent power cuts owing to the poor condition of the electric supply line. Secretary-general PTI Welfare wing Zeeshan Khowaja told this correspondent that power suspension during the sweltering heat was now getting intolerable for the people of the coastal region and the electric supply system in this area needed revamping on an immediate basis.
He said that the supply of electricity was made to these areas way back in the mid-70s since then the supply line had never been revamped adding that the system of power supply completely crumbled during the cyclone of 1999 and the super flood of 2010 but the concerned quarters did take measures for its restructuring. “We are lucky to get electricity from this derelict supply line,” he said.
The cement-made electricity poles would now be replaced with the iron-made poles as there were relatively fewer chances of their collapse during monsoon season; He mentioned. He said that the material had started reaching and soon a phase-wise revamping of the supply line would get underway.
Expressing his gratitude to the central leadership of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf he said that The team of Captain was meeting the expectation of the people of this country adding that PM Khan believed in serving the masses and this would be another step forward towards a better and progressive Pakistan.
