Federal Govt has written a letter for release of fishermen from Indian jails: Khowaja

The Federal government has written a letter to the Indian government for the release of around 50 fishermen hailing from district Sujawal incarcerated in Indian jails for the past many years.
While talking to this correspondent Secretary General Pakistan Tehreek Insaf Advocate Zeeshan Ali Khowaja said that he had been informed by the leadership of the Party that the federal government had written a letter to the Indian authorities for the release of 50 fishermen languishing in Indian Jails. Adding that all of them belonged to the Sujawal district. He further said that He had been writing letters to the federal government apprising them of the miserable plight of the families of the fishermen.
” The families of fishermen are putting up with acute financial constraints as many among these fishermen are sole breadwinners for their families; he said.
Time and again Pakistan Tehreek Insaf welfare wing had taken measures to assist the families of ill-fated fishermen who were apprehended in high seas when they were on board to earn a livelihood; he claimed.
The Indian government released 20 fishermen last year 13 of them were from district Thatta and Sujawal.
