Four villagers killed over old enmity

SHIKARPUR: Four villagers were gunned down over an old hostility between two groups of Marfani community persons developed three years ago over having extramarital affairs, in the limits of Garhi Yasin Police Station, here on Sunday.
According to reports, four villagers identified as Muhammad Hashim and Abdul Karim Marfani, belonging to the Azizullah Marfani group, Abdul Nabi and Sudheer Marfani, belonging to Shaham Marfani group, were killed on the spot and two others sustained bullet injuries whose names could not be ascertained.
According to the SHO Garhi Yasin, Gulzar Ahmed Buriro, that both groups started firing on each other over a dispute over having extramarital affairs developed at least three years ago, which results, at least four villagers lost their lives.
Besides, area police following on the information, rushed on the spot and moved the bodies and injured to Garhi Yasin Hospital for postmortem and injured for medical treatment and handed over the bodies to their heirs after conducting necessary medical-legal formalities.
Apart from this, area police have arrested three suspects and a case to be registered.
