Imtiaz Shaikh directs authorities to complete development works in Khanpur

SHIKARPUR: Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, the provincial minister for Energy, presided a meeting concerning the development and the cleanliness of Taluka Khanpur at deputy commissioner office Shikarpur, here on Wednesday.
Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh said that the construction work for the Mega drainage scheme in Shikarpur is ongoing while the scheme amounting to Rs. 50 million for mega drainage system Khanpur has also been sanctioned to clean the Khanpur taluka and directed the district administration to consternate for cleanliness in Khanpur.
Shaikh further said that the scheme of sports ground would be completed and the library for the students of Khanpur would also be completed with the support of Gas royalty.
Kashif Nabi Khuhro, the DC Shikarpur, briefed the minister and said that 300 million has been released under development funds during two quarters of running fiscal year and he was optimistic that at least 250 schemes would be completed further DC said that district administration has got 30 million under the head of gas royalty and development work would be completed on the recommendations of the people of all four talukas of Shikarpur without any discrimination adding anti-encroachment process is still ongoing and he hoped such work would be completed.
Agha Naeem, the Executive Engineer, PHED, and other high-level officers attended the meeting.
