Imtiaz Shaikh, WB Country chief inspect JPMC solarisation work.

KARACHI: Minister for energy Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh and Country Director World Bank Pakistan Najy Benhassine visited Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) to review ongoing work solarisation of the hospital on Wednesday .
imtiaz Shaikh said that with the assistance of World Bank the Energy department under ‘Sindh Solar Energy Project’ was solarising JPMC.
The solar PV system is being installed at the roof top of building which the World Bank country director inspected.
Executive Director JPMC Seemen Jamali received the visiting provincial minister and world bank country chief.
She briefed the minister and visiting guest about the energy requirements of the hospital.
Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh said that Sindh Government with the assistance of world Bank has started Solarization of Government buildings and hospitals.
Mr Shaikh said that Sindh Government was working on clean and green energy projects to combat the concern’s of global warming.
Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh has said that Solarization work on 35 government hospital buildings was in progress in which eight hospitals of Karachi, including JPMC, civil hospital, Liaquatabad hospital, orangi town hospital, korangi hospital, Lyari general hospital, Ojha hospital and NICVD.
