JACOBABAD: A jirga held in circuit house Larkana on Wednesday evening settled a blood feud between two groups of Odha and Jakhrani tribes by imposing heavy penalties on the guilty parties for murdering 11 people over a period of 03 years. TheOld jirga chaired by Mir Manzoor Khan Panhwar and MNA Ghous Bux Mahar heard a number of individuals belonging to the warring groups of Jakhrani and Odha before reaching a verdict that both sides had killed seven people of odha tribe and four people of Jakhrani tribe and injured 27 people, including woman and children.The jirga fixed fine-cum-compensation for each murder at Rs600,000 and an equal amount of penalty for injuring a woman. A total of Rs 15 million fine was imposed on Jakhranis for killing seven Odho tribesmen and injuring a woman of their community and Rs. 10.6 million were slapped on Odho tribe for slaying four Jakhranis, said sources privy to the jirga proceedings.The clash between the two groups had started 03 years ago after dispute on cricket game started between two youth groups in the jurisdiction of police station Tajo Dero in district Jacobabad
