THATTA: A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were crushed by a fast-moving truck leaving one of them dead while critically injuring the other on main Mirpur Sakro road here on Tuesday.
According to onlookers Ghulam Mustafa Shah 28 and Zulfikar Shah 26 were on their way back home when the speedy truck hit the two-wheeler the motorcyclists lost their balance and fell on the road and were crushed under the wheels of the truck. Ghulam Mustafa Shah died on the spot however Zulfikar Shah was shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in critical condition.
While people were busy shifting the victims to the hospital the driver of the truck managed to slip away from there leaving behind the truck that had been confiscated by the area police.
The body of the deceased was handed over to the heirs after necessary medico-legal formalities.
