Prime Minister Imran Khan on English Language

By: Gul Afroz Soomro

There is no denying the importance of educational and official language among the priorities that come to the forefront of the basic needs of nations at the time of their independence and sovereignty. Luckily, in order to bring the beloved homeland on par with them, English had to be made a means of vocational (scientific and non-scientific) education and teaching. It may not have achieved the desired goals as much as negative social attitudes. In his address to the Punjab Education Convention held in Lahore on Wednesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan termed the English medium system as a major cause of deterioration of society and national degradation and a source of mental slavery. He was right to say that this system took us away from Islam and our culture. He said that the incident at Minar-e-Pakistan was very embarrassing and painful while the new generation was heading for disaster due to lack of proper training. Are These words of the Prime Minister are not limited to his caste or thinking, the voice of the heart and mind of every patriotic Pakistani is a moment of reflection for us as a nation. Education is the field that contributes to the healthy growth, development and prosperity of any nation or society. It is considered to have a basic status. It is this education that makes human thinking beautiful and constructive and distinguishes it from other nations. The Quaid-e-Azam had explicitly called for the introduction of Urdu as the national and official language, but to date it has not been implemented. The built-in system and administrative structure is always in place. Unfortunately, the effects of double and triple policies and political tensions have been felt most by the younger generation. This class is considered a great asset to any nation and it is fortunate to see that Pakistan has the highest proportion of youth in the world in terms of population, but the highest drug use in recent years is also educational. It is happening in institutions. Thousands of families have been ruined by one member of the family. Despite this, the Pakistani youth have an unlimited store of intelligence, talent and hard work and of course every youth of the country is always looking for new avenues of development in their field. However, economic instability, growing irregularities in the education system, Employment problems, insecurity, social inequalities, corruption, inferiority complex are the main reasons why the young generation is being divided into different classes, one of which is looting, robbery, drugs and misconduct. Inclined The time has come for us to urgently enact laws for the survival of our society and for the betterment of the young generation, to address the education system and the underlying problems as soon as possible, and to rejuvenate our new generation in every field. Be able to move forward with your hard work, dedication and efforts. Prime Minister Imran Khan has recently launched a program to introduce a single curriculum at the primary level. It would be better to open as many government schools as possible in the country as in the past. Steps should be taken to promote the cause for which every section of thought should come forward.
