Umme Rabab ends protest sit-in on the assurance of SSP Dadu

MEHAR: Heirs of slain UC Chairman Balaidai, Karam Ullah Chandio and his two sons Mukhtiar and Qabil Chandio, those were killed on January 17, 2018 in Mehar town, held a protest sit-in on  Indus Highway near Mehar Town today. The sit-in lasted for five hours and due to stoppage of the traffic  hundreds of passengers were stranded. Talking to the newsmen Umme Rubab said that yesterday she gave ultimatum to Sindh Police to arrest MPA Burhan Chandio and bring him to justice but Sindh Police failed to arrest MPA. That’s why  we have staged this protest sit-in.  She further said that she was hopeful that she would be given Justice by the courts and  the struggle will be continued till the arrest of MP  Burhan Chandio. On the other hand SSP Dadu Irfan Samo arrived on the occasion and spoke to the protesting Umme Rubab and others and assured her that the MPA will be arrested within 24 hours. After this assurance Umme Rubab decided to end protest. Advocate Munawar Ali Jatoi, Central Senior Vice President of Awami Tehreek, Sajid Sodhar, Deedar Koso , Niaz Kalani, Ghazi Khan Solangi, Khadim Chandio, Shahid Soomro,  Salman Mushtaq Bhutto along with other men and women from other communities attended the event in large numbers.
