Five killed, three injured in Madeji shoot out

SHIKARPUR: At least five villagers were shot dead while three persons sustained bullet injuries in a deadly dispute erupted between Dal and Juneja community persons at the area of New Amrote Sharif over a petty issue over the mobile phone in the limits of New Amrote Police Station, here on Friday.
According to police sources that two villagers identified as Sanaullah Dal and Abdullah Dal were shot dead while three Juneja community villagers identified as Sadar Junejo, Rasool Bux, and Ghulam Asghar Junejo were killed while Abdul Fatah Junejo, Jamsheed Junejo and Nisar Junejo sustained severe bullet injuries in a firing between two communities over a petty issue said to be talking over the mobile phone.
Following the information area police rushed on the spot and cordoned off the area and controlled the situation and moved the bodies to Madejo Hospital and Larkana Hospital and injured for medical treatment.
The bodies were handed over to their heirs after conducting necessary medical formalities from Madeji and Larkana Hospitals while the condition of the injuries was said to be out of danger.
The heirs of both parties of the deceased blocked the Sukkur-Larkana road demanded the immediate arrest of killers.
SSP Shikarpur Kamran Nawaz Panjotha took notice of the dispute and constituted a committee comprising over two DSPs and directed them to submit a detailed report within three days and set up a police picket exit and entrance points of the area to avoid further loss of precious lives.
SSP Shikarpur in its statement said that killers would be arrested at any condition and no one would be allowed to take the law into his hands.
Neither an FIR was registered nor police have made any arrest till filing of this news file.
