SHIKARPUR: The Sindh Minister for Energy Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh paid a visit to the Shikarpur Press Club to felicitate the newly elected office-bearers on Monday. The newly elected President of Shikarpur Press Club Sodho James, Vice President Rehmatullah Soomro, General Secretary Rahim Bux Jamali and other senior journalists welcomed the Sindh Minister and presented the traditional gifts of Ajrak to him. Zaheer Khan Dreho, Taj Buriro, Kamran Khan Mahar, Sardar Asadullah Hajano, Wasim Siddiqui, Fahim Soomro, Amanullah Soomro, Bhoora Khan Lohar and others accompanied Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh during his visit to the press club. Addressing on the occasion, Imtiaz Sheikh announced to donate Rs 1 million to the Press Club Shikarpur and announced to ensure the allocation of funds to all the press clubs of Sindh. He added that the province of Sindh plays a vital role in the national economy but due share is not being provided to this province in funds. He also expressed concern over the decision of the Federal Government to transfer the officials from Sindh. Imtiaz Sheikh further said that the Sindh Government according to the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is providing best possible health, education and other facilities to the people of the province. He also termed the mini budget against the interests of the people because this will increase the inflation rate in the country. He also announced to continue working on the alternate energy projects in Sindh for the development of the province.
