Sujawal: Secretary of All Pakistan Clerk Association Health Wing Sujawal Mohammad Hayyat Thaheem and his brother were subjected to brutal torture by two unknown armed assailants late on Sunday when they were on their way back to Jati after performing emergency duty.
According to reports when Hayat Thaeem and his brother were on their way back after performing emergency duty at District Health Office Sujawal two armed assailants intercepted them near the Shrine of Hazrat Ghulam Shah around a kilometer away from the Police Chowki and subjected them to brutal torture. The two assailants robbed them of cash, and other valuables and managed to flee from there. The injured were shifted to Taluka Hospital Jati for treatment.
Mohammad Hayyat told local reporters that he had no enmity with anyone in the area adding that it was a well-planned robbery. He said that Police had ensured him of nabbing the miscreants soon.
Key APCA leaders demanded SSP Sujawal to arrest the miscreants involved in the episode. They said that like doctors and other medical staff they had also remained on the forefront during the days of pandemic and it was the responsibility of the Police to ensure their safety.
