SHIKARPUR: The District Covid-19 vaccination center at [RBUT] Hospital Shikarpur is not following the SOPs issued by the Government of Sindh, first of all, there are two male and female deputed doctors to check the blood pressure and temperature of the visiting persons, but unfortunately, there is no male and female doctor to check the same, but the untrained staff is just asking from visiting persons that have you temperature or blood pressure? and injects anti doze of covid-19, though it is the responsibility of the duty doctor to check the BP and temperature, but they are just asking.
There is no separate facility or female staff to vaccine the female visiting women therefore female visitors are facing a lot of hardships, read a press statement issued by Agha Muneer Pathan, the chairman of the special people’s foundation Shikarpur and Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society Shikarpur.
Agha further elaborated and termed the center the hub of Coronavirus because there are no safety measures when I asked the local staff that where are duty doctors they [staff] did not bother to answer.
Agha raised a finger over the performance of the health staff and said that health staffers are enjoying Risk Allowance and other facilities, but they are not ready to take precautionary measures.
Agha demanded the higher authorities including the District & Sessions Judge Shikarpur, the Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur, the DHO Shikarpur, and other high officials to take notice of the issues and direct the concerned staff to take safety measures and held responsible duty doctors to present and check the BP and temperature of the visiting persons for the welfare of the people of Shikarpur.
