SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur Social Forum observed the death anniversary of poet Shaikh Ayaz in Shaikh Muhalla on Wednesday. The poets, literates and the civil society leaders and members attended the death anniversary in a large number and lit candles to pay tribute to the great poet of Sindhi Shaikh Ayaz. Addressing on the occasion, Dr Anwar Figar Hakro lauded the literary services of Shaikh Ayaz, who impressed several people across the world through his poetry and philosophy. Dr Qazi Manzar Hayat said that Sindh is a blessed land because the people of of land got two great poets and thinkers including Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA) and Shaikh Ayaz. The poetry of Shaikh Ayaz is not limited to any land or time because it gives a clear message for mankind. The people of Sindh will always remember the services of Shaikh Ayaz, he added. On the occasion, Sajjad Mahar, Nasim Bukhari, Asif Shaikh, Humair Shaikh, Agha Sanaullah Khan, Salman Soomro, Riaz Lashari, Advocate Zafar Channa, Sarang Munir Soomro and others also addressed to pay tribute to Shaikh Ayaz.
